Durian – Delicious & Nutritious

Some say durian dangerous because it can lead to increased blood cholesterol , but   this  “King of Fruits”, Durian is very nutritious. The fruit contains vitamins B, C, E and iron.

It has many health benefits  and in addition of containing vitamins mentioned above , other uses of durian are :

  • Extracting  the skin of the  fruit it can be used to treat swelling and skin diseases.
  • Contrary to popular belief; durian  actually helps lowering the cholesterol levels in the blood.
  • Durian also functions as a blood purifier.
  • Durian contains many amino acid tryptophan, which is helpful to reduce  anxiety, depression and treat insomnia.
  • Eating durian also creates a feeling of happiness because this fruit increases the brains serotonin level  .
  • Durian contains many soft protein, allowing it to be consumed by those who want to build muscle.
  • Durian is also a first-class aphrodisiac !
  • Also recommended as a source of raw fat.

Although a lot of functions, it does not mean we have to eat this fruit   excessively .  . For pregnant women and people suffering from hypertension it isn’t  recommended to eat durian.

Eating  100 grams of durian supplies enough nutrients for a day .
